This is interesting, however, the Grasshopper (light Mech) is actually the Locust LCT-1V

Old Battle Tech fan here, the Grasshopper was a highly mobile heavy Mech, the silhouette you have looks to be the Locust.
Awesome chart though :D

At 65 tons an Ebon Jaguar/Cauldron Born is well within the heavy, not medium, category. A good medium Clan Omnimech, since you used a 50 ton Hunchback for the Inner Sphere, would be the 50 ton Nova/Blackhawk.

This does need a major overhaul anyway, since a lot of new stuff has appeared in Warhammer too.

I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with you on the size of the BattleMechs. The Omega www.sarna.net/wiki/Omega_(Batt…) (current largest 'Mech, period) is about eighteen meters tall, putting the Atlas and Dire Wolf/Daishi into 12-14 meter range. A Time of War gives the average 'Mech height as ten meters.

As I am completely unfamiliar with the other two groups, I will refrain from comment.

Huh. Haven't followed the line much these years. But this chart is in urgent need of a workover anyway, what with the 40K knights out.

The Reave-class Titan is way too big. They're about 25-30m depending on pattern. Against a 100-ish meter Imperator-class.

I should have read the notes (couldn't see them at all on preview res)
The Imperator is far too small. Warhound slightly too small. Warlord somewhat too small.

Used Forge World's notes on the Imperator. I figured stats for an actual figure would be more accurate than the extremely varying sizes in novels (which go from 30 to 200 meters for the Imperator).

Ah. Inevitable when there's a great big multi-creator literary orgy.
And most of them are trying to out-grimdark each other. That or making Ultramarines and Cains.

Are You gonna turn this into the same awesomeness You did with the ship comparison chart? :D

If so, I have some suggestions:
- Mech Warrior Online has some splash art You can use.
- Metal Gear is a mech.
- Armored Core has a lot of em
- Starcraft's Odin, Wiking, SCV, and Thor
- All possible Gundam series?
- Hawken Mechs
- Manga/Anime has a limitless supply of these Xp

... and I REALLY need to update the chart's Imperial Knight. That model is awesome.

Eventually, yes, it will. I'd definitly also add Evangelion and Pacific Rim. But right now, I'm aching trhough the final additiona for the spaceships chart. I'm ... kind of running out of ships to add.

Well I do have two suggestions. Add some Steel Battalion VTs to this chart and maybe take a look at some of the ships from Escape Velocity: Nova (those Polaris Ravens are enormous!)

GW is super inconsistent there in it's art and writing. I used their sizes for the 40K scale minis game.

Makes sense.
It is that i remembered having an argument a while back, while smaller titans were around 15-20m, the larger ones were around 100m, if one were to believe the artwork.

Yeah, and an Imperator is 75 meters in one novel and 250 in the next ... it's pretty badly coordinated. The emcha chart is based on a chart by GW, thouggh - the soldier and the Imperator are theirs. I scaled using the soldier at 1,7 meters size.

Minis aren't accurately scaled. Example, Guardsmen are pretty much the same size as Space Marines, which is just wrong.

No, but it said "guardsman, 1,7 metrs", which is at least soemthing. Mecha sizes in Warhammer are incredibly fucked up.

Isn't that impossible to measure, though?

STTGL would be the largest that can be measured, at 52.8 billion light years.
